Newspaper Staff Discuss Digital Media at LCC Middle School

COLERIDGE - On Wednesday morning, staff from the Laurel Advocate discussed digital media with Heather Showen's art class at Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Middle School.

Peggy Year, Rob Dump, and Jake Higgins touched on topics like different components of photo editing, the role newspapers serve in a small community, and how digital media has evolved journalism over the past couple of decades.

Showen looks to also bring her high school class to the Cedar County News office in Hartington sometime in January for a closer look at the different aspects of digital media.
