Dwain Moseman

WAUSA — Funeral services for Dwain Moseman, 87, Wausa, were held Dec. 19 at Thabor Lutheran Church, Wausa. Rev. Carl Sirotzki officiated, with burial in Lutheran Cemetery in Wausa. Military Honors were provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5824. Dwain died Dec. 14, 2017, at Gold Crest Retirement Center, Adams. Dwain Harold Moseman, son of Ernest and Anna (Bureson) Moseman, was born Feb. 17, 1930, in Burt County. He attended school in the Oakland area. Dwain served in the United States Air Force at Mitchell Air Force Base, Long Island, N.Y. He married Rita Mainquist June 9, 1951, at Mission Covenant Church, Wausa. Five children were born to them, twins, Kathleen and Constance, Daniel, Lori and Jodi. Dwain was a member of Thabor Lutheran Church. He was a quiet, contemplative and creative man with a heart of gold. He loved to have coffee with friends, work in his shop and fish. He is survived by his wife, Rita, Adams; daughter, Kathleen Brown, Longview, Texas; son, Daniel (Jo Ann) Moseman, Firth; daughter, Jodi (Gregory) Derks, Firth; six grandchildren, Anne, April, Elissa, Andrew, Emily, Brandon and their families, including five great-grandchildren; and siblings, Wesley Moseman, Norma Pippitt and Darold Moseman. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Constance and Lori; brother, Clinton Moseman; and son-in-law, Dan Brown. Brockhaus Funeral Home, Wausa, is in charge of arrangements.
