LAUREL — A new store is opening in downtown Laurel and will feature second-hand scores.

Those who like the thrill of the thrift should be able to find just about everything from clothes, home decor, toys and much more at Carolyn’s Collection.

“Its purpose is to serve the community with affordable merchandise,” said Carolyn Suing of Laurel, who owns the store with her husband, Chuck.

The business at 122 E. Second St. was the former barber shop called Main Attraction, and is located next to the dental office.

The store’s grand opening is set for 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19. Regular hours will be Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon.

“Please stop by and check us out,” Suing said.

Carolyn’s Collection is accepting donations of clothing and home items. Currently, Suing is the only employee but is open to hosting volunteer opportunities at the store in the future.
