HARTINGTON - Two people involved in a theft from Randolph storage units have been deemed guilty in Cedar County District Court Monday, pleading to reduced charges as part of an agreement.
Austin Thyfault, 30, and Carol Padgett, 37, appeared separately with their attorneys Monday.
Thyfault pleaded no contest to burglary, two counts of theft by unlawful taking and criminal mischief.
He will also face parole violations as he was on parole at the time of the thefts last fall.
Padgett pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting for her role in helping Thyfault remove items from the storage units.
