Cheers Library hosts wine-tasting fundraising event

RANDOLPH — The Lied Randolph Public Library is encouraging women to raise a glass for a good cause.

The library is hosting a Ladies Night called Aged to Perfection that will feature wine tasting, food and fun at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 1, at the Randolph City Auditorium.

Tickets are $30 and must be purchased in advance at the library by Monday, Sept. 20.

Jim’s Fine Wines of Norfolk will feature five wines and Jerry’s Hilltop will provide a salad, hors d’oeuvres and dessert.

Tickets include wine, food, a wine charm, drink coaster and registration for door prizes.

Wine will be available to purchase at the event.

Funds will go toward establishing a musical playground at the garden area in front of the library, said Library Director Peggy Leiting.

“The musical playground would serve as a place for families to visit and enjoy their time together,” she said, along with encouraging exercise and socialization in the community and an appreciation for music. “Music can bring so much joy to our lives and we want to share this with the community.”
