County takes out bond to pay for flood-damaged roads, bridges

HARTINGTON — The March flood here is costing Cedar County at least $1.5 million for road and bridge repairs.

At the Aug. 27 Cedar County Commission meeting, the board met with Brad Slaughter from Ameritas and signed resolution 19-06 to issue highway allocation fund pledge bonds for $1.5 million for road and bridge repairs caused by the spring flooding.
