Wausa boys advance to L&C quarterfinals

WAKEFIELD - The Vikings advanced out of the Lewis & Clark Conference Basketball Tournament on Monday with a 61-44 win over Allen.

Wausa came in as the five seed and faced the 12 seed Allen Eagles.

The Wausa defense held Allen to six points in the first quarter, building a sixpoint lead. The teams then went back and forth in the second quarter, but Wausa ran away in the second half, scoring 37, while holding Allen to 26.

Tyson Kaiser led the way with 18 points. He was followed by Ethan Baue dropping 13, Drew Munter contributing 10, and Ghatlin Hegge adding nine.
