Vikings settle for runner-up honors at Creighton

CREIGHTON - A second place finish in the Creighton Holiday Tournament sent the Vikings boys’ basketball team into 2019 with a win over Creighton and a loss to Boyd County.

Due to inclement weather the tournament was pushed back, but all four teams were still able to participate.

Wausa won 44-37 in the opening round against Creighton.

Tyson Kaiser led the way for the Vikings with 17 points. He was followed by Drew Munter scoring 14, Ghatlin Hegge posting 11, and Ethan Baue adding two points.
