Vikings fall to Wynot; S.D. team

WAUSA — The Vikings lost a tough one against South Dakota opponent Gayville-Volin, 56-48, after being outscored 22-7 in the third quarter.

Junior Tyson Kaiser contributed 24 points, as he tried to lift Wausa over GV, but the third quarter deficit proved to be too much. Wausa outscored their opponent 27-22 in the first half, and even outscored Gayville-Volin in the fourth quarter 14-12, but the third quarter was a complete different story.

Wausa is known for being a shooting team that is fast paced on offense, and giving intense pressure on defense. Living by the three pointer can be dangerous though in games like this where the Vikings shot only 5/20 from beyond the arc. Kaiser made four of nine attempts to contribute to his 24 points.
