Vikings earn fourth place finish at Wayne meet
WAYNE — The Wausa Viking speech team competed at the Wayne High/Wayne State College Classic this past weekend, coming away with a fourth-place team finish out of 23 area teams.
The Vikings medaled 12 entries, scoring 70 team points in a field that included 363 entries.
“Overall, I thought our kids performed well,” coach Kyle Stevens said. “We knew going into today that it was going to be difficult to medal in such a large field of competitors, and I am pleased with the progress our students are making.”
