Viking teams both start off with wins
Lady Vikes lead from start to finish to beat the Lady Pirates
PLAINVIEW — The Wausa girls basketball team handed their new coach his first win in the team’s first game of the season.
Brandon Kirby took over coaching duties this year from Terry Nelson. The girls didn’t make him wait long to notch his first career victory though. Wausa came out of the gates early at Plainview in the first game of the season en route to the victory.
The Lady Vikings outscored Plainview in each of the four quarters, and went on to win 48-31.
