Softball has end of the year potluck celebration

WAUSA — The 13/14 and 16/18 softball teams had a potluck supper July 29 to celebrate the accomplishments of the season. Almost all the players and their families were in attendance.

Shelbey West started the evening by talking about how proud the girls should be and how proud the coaching staff were of them. They never gave up throughout the season and battled their way to the State Softball tournament. At the State Tournament, they showed everyone it didn’t matter if they were from a small town. Talent is found everywhere. The girls had come so far this season despite the fact some of them had never played together before this season. Shelbey then recognized the three seniors on the team who graduated this past May.
