Lady Vikings win against Creighton

WAUSA — Last week in volleyball action, the Wausa Lady Vikings played at home against Winside and traveled to Creighton.

The Lady Vikings won one and lost one as they were defeated in straight sets to Winside Sept. 24, but came back on Thursday to defeat Creighton in straight sets to finish out the week.

“We had a rough start to the week but the girls bounced back and improved in several areas. I was very pleased with our effort as far as all out hustle and energy that we brought to the court,” Coach Greg Conn said.

Against Winside Malanie Vanness and Kaitlyn Kumm paced the defense with 12 and 11 digs, respectively.
