HNS girls hold off challenge from Lady Vikes
WAUSA — The Wausa Lady Vikings got off to a slow start against visiting Hartington-Newcastle Tuesday, but then rallied in the third set before falling in the fourth set.
HNS built a 5-1 first-set lead, forcing Coach Greg Conn to call a timeout. That didn’t seem to work, though as the Lady Wildcats put up six more unanswered points after the break.
Wausa then called a second timeout. This time the break seemed to work as the Lady Vikes climbed back into the game before falling 25-18.
