Work begins at Wausa Public Schools

Renovation of former shop area will result in new classrooms, art room H.S. demolition slated for late June

WAUSA — Progress continues to be made at the Wausa school building as the project rolls into another week.

Since beginning work on May 31, crews have been focusing on demolition, rough-ins and framing. Soon, said Boyd Jones Project Manager Brian Dembowski, the renovations will take shape.

“We are mobilized on the site and are immediately beginning work in the shop area so we can get started with renovations there. In the next month or so, the site will really begin changing once we begin major demolition,” Dembowski said.

Boyd Jones anticipates demolition of the high school building to take about four weeks, starting around June 24.
