Wausa’s Annual Smorgasbord volunteers are calling for helpers

WAUSA — Wausa’s heritage is Swedish. For 76 years, we have been celebrating that Swedish heritage with our annual Smorgasbord.

If you are wondering what a smorgasbord is, it is a variety of different foods lined up buffet style.

Our smorgasbord features a variety of Swedish dishes such as Swedish meatballs, potato sausage, different cold meats and cheeses, Swedish brown beans, fruit soup, Swedish rye bread, and of course, rice pudding and ost-kaka. Can’t you just taste those homemade Swedish meatballs and potato sausage?
