Wausa will send 16 to national FBLA event

WAUSA — The Wausa FBLA chapter will be sending 16 students to the National Leadership Conference in San Antonio, TX, on June 27 through July 3. Students will be competing against other chapters from across the nation in a variety of business-related events ranging from tests to presentations as well as for an individual or team.

Wausa students will be competing in Broadcast Journalism (Destiny Fox and Siera Brazel), Business Financial Plan (Kaitlyn Kumm and Isabelle Vanness), Client Service (Elizabeth Johnson), Digital Video Production (Drew Munter and Tyson Kaiser), E-Business (Paige Nissen and Ainsley Nelson), Impromptu Speaking (Will Hagge), Introduction to Business Presentation (Brooke Kumm, Darla Nelson, and Cory Schumacher), Social Media Campaign (Taylor Kumm and Melanie Vanness), and Word Processing (Esther Nelson).

The preliminary rounds for the presentation events take place on Sunday, June 30, with finalists announced at 5 a.m. Monday, July 1. The presentation schedules and finalists can be found at the national FBLA website; http://www.fbla-pbl.org/conferences/nlc/competitive-events-updates/fbla-...

The Award Ceremony is set  July 2, beginning at 6 p.m.

In addition to competition, students will also attend seminars and listen to keynote speakers. National and regional officer campaigning and voting takes place as well.
