Wausa students get international lesson during “A Day for Reading”

WAUSA — Wausa Elementary School students celebrated Read Across America Day Thursday with the theme of “Oh, the Places you’ll go!” and they sure did go to many places as they traveled all around the world.

The fifth and sixth grade students even traveled around Wausa.

The classrooms were all assigned costumes of different countries. Kindergarten dressed in costumes from the United States, first grade was Greece, second grade was France, third grade was Egypt, fourth grade was Whoville, fifth grade was China, and sixth grade was Sweden. The best dressed class won prizes.
