Wausa Speech Team brings home Runner-Up honors

WAUSA — The Wausa Viking speech team earned team state runner up honors last Friday, finishing with 108 teampoints and two state-champion events.

The OID group of Destiny Fox, Elizabeth Johnson, Ruth Johnson, Isabelle Vanness and Tyler Baue earned first place honors. The Duet pairing of Kaitlynn Kumm and Taylor Kumm also took home gold.

The following students took home state medals:

Destiny Fox: Second Place - Informative

Tyler Baue: Second Place - Serious

Taylor Kumm: Second Place - Entertainment

Will Hagge: Fourth Place - Extemporaneous; Seventh Place - Persuasive
