School Bd. election comes down to the wire

CENTER — The race for a seat on the Wausa School Board is coming down to the wire.

A mandatory recount may be necessary in the race, and Knox County Election Commissioner Joann Fischer says a Canvassing Board will decide on Thursday whether it is needed.

The School Board race involves four candidates for three available seats. Mark Dawson, Michael D. Kumm, Brian T. Wakeley and write-in candidate Derek Cunningham battled for the three spots.
