Ground breaking ceremony is held here — residents

WAUSA — Area residents were thanked for their support of the school and community Sunday.

School officials were the ones in front of the crowd, but the people who really needed to be recognized were the school district patrons that made construction of a new school addition here possible, said Supt. Brad Hoesing.

School District patrons voted last Fall to support a bond issue to tear down the old Wausa Public School building and replace it with a new, modern facility that would bring the entire school campus together. Demoliton of the old building took place earlier this summer. Now that the ground has settled, it was time for the ceremony to thank the community for its support and to kick off the next phase of construction.
