Christmas in Wausa

The community of Wausa shut down Main Street Monday night so residents could celebrate the season in style. Ashton Baue (top left) thought this would be a good time to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas. Cookie decorating is especially important at this time of year and Lexi Wright takes time to decorate her cookie (above), while Ryan Kleinschmit, Emmie Brazel and Lincoln Thorell work on their cookies at the cookie station, and Karen Kleinschmit helps her daughter, Kendra Kleinschmit. Kyle Stevens (right) was on the microphone announcing all of the local shops’ holiday treats. The night ended with singing Christmas carols (bottom right) as the tree was lit for the first time of the season with Olivia Barta, Kingsley Cunningham, Kinslee Thorell and Ben Barta and Jess Barta join in the caroling.
