100th annual Memorial Day Services planned

WAUSA — For the 100th year, the Wausa community will honor deceased veterans in Memorial Day exercises Monday, May 27. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in the community auditorium.

The event is sponsored by Earl Norman American Legion Post 63, Roy Carlson Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5824 and their Auxiliaries.

This year there are 289 graves and markers of veterans in the Wausa and Magnet communities. Crosses and flags will be placed on the Veteran’s graves in cemeteries before the weekend.
