The boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will host Randolph in the season openers on Friday, Dec. 4.

Returning letter winners for the girls’ team are Elisa Herrera, Lexi Beacom, Hayle Krienert, Macy Aschoff, Grace Gansebom, Kiera Moes, Bailey Schmit and Cali Gutz. The girls are coached by David Schmit with Kim Miller as assistant coach.

Home Contest Protocols

In order to meet the current Directed Health Measures at home contests while still allowing parents to attend their child’s activity, Osmond Community School has enacted the following home contest protocols for home contests before Christmas break:

Each player will receive two tickets per home contest to be used by household members only for admittance after paying admission. On Dec. 4th versus Randolph, the girls’ junior varsity will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the varsity girls’ game to follow.

The gym will then be cleared out before the boys’ JV game, which is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. with the varsity boys’ game to follow. All spectators will be asked to leave the gym at the conclusion of the boys’ varsity game.

On Dec. 12th versus Plainview, the order in which the teams will play will be reversed, with the boys’ JV game beginning at 4 p.m.

There will be no concession stand at home contests this year.

Wrestlers Open Saturday

The first wrestling meet of the season for the Tigers is Saturday, Dec. 5. The team will travel to Creighton for its annual invitational meet which begins at 9:30 a.m.

The wrestling letter winners returning for action this year are Robert Aschoff, Bodie True, Hunter Beacom, Alex Vinson and Patrick Vinson. Their coach is Larry McKenna.
