Randolph runners compete at Battle Creek Invite

BATTLE CREEK — The Randolph cross country team competed at the Battle Creek meet last week. 

The varsity boys ran the 5000-meter course. 

Gabe Wortman ran it in 21:31 to place 30th, 

Justin Guenther ran it in 21:58 to finish in 34th, Jake Harder ran 23:35 and was 42nd, And Brayden Shearer ran 23:59 and was 44th. 

In the Junior High 3000 meter race, Randolph’s Gage Jensen ran 13:27 for a medal with a 10th place finsh. Lucas Bartels ran 13:29 to finish right behind him in 11th place.

Rounding out the Randolph team were: Luke Harder, 14:52 for 19th place, Dylan Schutt, 14:55 for 20th place, Mason Blickenstaff, 14:56 for 21st place, and Gavin Wortman, 16:23 for 28th place. 

The Randolph team will compete in the Lewis and Clark Conference meet this week in Bloomfield. Post-season then the District cross country meet will be held at Pender on Thursday, Oct. 15.
