Randolph boys earn 10-point win at Homer
HOMER — The Randolph Cardinals evened their season record at 5-5 with a road win here Tuesday.
The Cards got off to a slow start, trailing 14-11 at the close of the first quarter, but quickly turned things around after that.
Randolph put the defensive screws to the Knights in the second frame, putting together a 14-7 run to take a 25-21 lead into the locker room at the halftime break.
The Cards came out of the break on fire, putting together a 17-10 run to take a 42-31 lead into the final frame.
Randolph was led in the contest by a balanced attack as four athletes hit for double-figures.
The Cards were led by Keaton Backhaus, who burned the nets for 17 points. Jamison Svehla and Carter Schnoor also had solid games, connecting for 15 points each, while Justin Haselhorst hit for 11.
