Pink out is huge success

WAUSA — A little friendly rivalry can bring out the best in people. Wausa and Wynot are proof of that.

The Wausa FBLA hosted a “Pink Out” during the Wausa vs. Wynot volleyball match Oct. 15 to help raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. Each school sold pink links for $1 throughout the week and during the game to see which town could raise the most money and make the longest pink chain. Fans were encouraged to wear pink to the game with players and coaches also wearing pink.

Wausa raised $443 and produced the longest pink chain. With Wynot’s collection, all in all, a check for $577 was mailed to the American Cancer Society to help support the cause.
