Osmond offense, defense pack 1-2 punch

WAUSA — The Osmond Tigers traveled to Wausa on Friday, Oct. 2, and defeated the Vikings 62-22. The Tiger offense got off to a blistering start from the first play

of scrimmage. A swing pass from Patrick Vinson to Bryan Solorzano went 63 yards to the house. That set the tone for the rest of the first quarter. The

Tiger offense scored 22 points in the first quarter. The scoring was also led by Alex Vinson, Ryan Schmit and Patrick Vinson. Patrick Vinson led the Tiger offense 14 for 18 throwing for 241

yards, 5 TD, 1 INT. The offense was also led in rushing by Connor Gutz with 70 yards total for the game. The Osmond Tiger defense stayed tough throughout the game, not giving up a touchdown until the

middle of the second quarter. The Tigers were led by Zach Huwaldt with 17 total tackles, three hurries and one sack. Zach was accompanied by Ryan Schmit with one interception and

a tough tackling effort from Alex Vinson with 16 total tackles. Patrick Vinson also posted a sack for the Tigers.

The Tigers are allowing 20 points this season while averaging 46.8 points per game on the offensive end. The Tiger offense exploded in the fourth quarter to score 32 points

to finish the game 62-22. The Tigers will play Wynot on Friday, Oct. 9, at Osmond at 4 p.m.
