Osmond golfers compete at Ewing

EWING — The Osmond High School golf team participated in its first tournament of the season as the boys played in the Summerland invitational in Ewing. Normal early season wind and cold greeted the players on their first outing.

The Tigers played only three team members. Sophomore Caden Wingert, who is coming off ankle surgery, was only able to play nine holes while in a walking boot and shot a 57. Baylen Guenther shot rounds of 56-58 for a 114 and was followed closely by Brady Stech, who shot 115. Their rounds placed them in the middle of the 57 players field.

Osmond was to have played in the Ponca invitational on Monday, April 19, but because of weather conditions, the meet was postponed and now look forward to playing in the Osmond invitational on Saturday, April 24.
