Osmond girls’ basketball program holds clinic

OSMOND — The Osmond girls’ basketball program welcomed Coach Angie Kristensen to town to put on a basketball skills and fundamentals clinic.

Coach Kristensen’s background consists of 17 years of coaching at the collegiate level both in the NAIA and NCAA. She currently puts on clinics across the country as well as giving private instruction.

During the camp, the girls worked on a variety of ball-handling drills, hand-eye coordination dribbling drills, as well as some footwork drills.

“The camp was incredibly fast paced, which will play well into the type of team we hope to be once the season comes to be in December,” said Coach David Schmit. “In addition to a fast-paced camp, Angie emphasized another key part for our girls in that working on these fundamentals at home in addition to in practice will be the determining factor in overall growth throughout a season and career.

“We are grateful to our school administration for allowing us to have the camp, to Angie Kristensen for working with us, and for our community and fans as a whole for your continued support! Go Tigers!”
