Ole Open

It was everything Swedish again for the 19th year of the Ole Open held July 25 at Rolling Hills Country Club. The weather was warm and the golfing was hot as the team of Sam Anderson, Cole Schmidt, Danny Melena and Capp Bengston sweated out a win in the 20 team fourperson tournament. The luck of the draw made the second flight team winners of Mike Burns, Tanner Johnston, Tyler Fincher and Ken Bloomquist proud Vikings. Meatballs, rye bread and Ostakaka were the perennial prize favorites again this year as well as the victory lap for the winning team on the Viking Ship. Gallons of egg coffee and assorted Swedish beverages were enjoyed by all.
