OHS athletes named all-conference

OSMOND — Three Osmond High School athletes have received Lewis and Clark conference basketball honors. Ryan Schmit was named to the allconference boys’ basketball team, while Bryan Solarzano received honorable mention. For the girls, Grace Gansebom and Kiera Moes were both named to the all-conference girls’ basketball team.

Ryan, a 5-ft., 9-inch junior, scored an average of 17 points per game, and had an average of 3.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game. Bryan, a 5-ft., 11-inch junior, averaged 8.5 points per game; 3.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.4 steals per game.

Grace, a 5-ft., 7-inch senior, averaged 8.4 points per game, as well as 4.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.7 steals. Kiera, a 5-ft., 7-inch senior, averaged 14.6 points per game, 8.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 3.4 steals.

Girls’ basketball Coach David Schmit had this to say about the athletes on his team, “Grace and Kiera are definitely both deserving of this honor. Our conference is annually stacked with great athletes and these two earned their * Knights of Columbus ranked #6 in the permanent life insurance category on Forbes 2022 America’s Best Ins place on the all-conference team. I’m very proud of them as athletes and ered with Statista to independently survey more than 16,000 customers who owned at least one insurance policy people — they will be missed for our team and their other activities!”
