LCC Lady Bears split triangular in Hartington
HARTINGTON — The LCC Lady Bears came away with one win and one loss during triangular action Thursday at Hartington-Newcastle.
In their first match, the Lady Bears had no problem with Bloomfield, sweeping the Lady Bees 25-20, 25-14.
Kinsey Hall and Erica Wolfgram led the net attack with seven kills apiece, with Erica Benson adding four and Berniece McCorkindale putting down three. Hall had eight assists, Cassie Granquist added five and Haley Christensen had four.
Megan Forsberg and Jordynn Urwiler each had two ace serves and Hall and Benson both had two blocks. Hall had five digs and Christensen added four to spark the defensive effort.
In the second match, it was the host Wildcats coming away with the win, 25-20, 25-21.
Wolfgram and Mollie Schutte each had five kills and McCorkindale and Benson had four apiece, with Hall putting up 11 assists and Christensen five.
Wolfgram had four service aces in the match. In the digs department, Urwiler had 11, Hall had seven, Wolfgram picked up six and McCorkindale and Paige Cook each had four.
LCC had a home match with Hartington Cedar Catholic Tuesday and will play at Winnebago before closing out the regular season with the Lewis & Clark Conference tournament, which begins Saturday.
