LCC girls go 1-2 at Great NE Neb. Shootout

WAYNE — The LCC Lady Bears finished the Great Northeast Neb. Shootout with a 1-2 mark.

LCC fell behind early, then battled back in the second half against the Auburn Lady Bulldogs, but came up two points short of victory in the tourney opener.

The Lady Bears were paced in the game by Mallory Eriksen, who dropped in 16 points, and Kinsey Hall’s 16.

The Lady Bears faced off against a familiar foe in second-round action, beating Homer 64-47.

A trio of double-figure scorers paced the Bears attack. Kinsey Hall led the team with 18 points, while Haley Christensen and Jordynn Urwiler added 11 points each.
