LCC girls earn a pair of wins
LAUREL — The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Lady Bears bounced back from their first loss of the season with a pair of wins last week.
Homer and LCC battled evenly in the first frame on Tuesday with the Lady Knights earning the 11-9 first-quarter advantage. LCC turned it up in the second frame to earn the 12-4 advantage and take a 21-15 lead into the locker room.
LCC totally controlled the second half outscoring Homer 39-28 for the win. Kinsey Hall and Jordynn Urwiler paced the team to the win with 13 and 11 points, respectively.
The Lady Bears jumped out to a big early lead Saturday, outscoring Randolph 36-14 in the first half, then cruised to a 25-14 second-half advantage to earn the 61-28 win over the Lady Cardinals on Saturday.
The Orange and Black had the hot shooting hand for most of the night connecting on 21-39 field goals and 7-13 from the charity stripe.
A trio of LCC athletes hit for double figures in the contest, with Kinsey Hall leading all scorers with a 16-point effort.
