LCC girls earn L&C win over Bloomfield
LAUREL — The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Lady Bears put another ‘W’ in the win column last week.
The Lady Bears earned a 52-37 win over the Queen Bees of Bloomfield. LCC started out strong, putting together an 11-7 scoring advantage, but the Bees turned up the defense after that, limiting the Orange and Black to just two second-quarter points, while putting up 10 of their own to take a 17-13 lead into the halftime break.
The Lady Bears found their offense again in the second half, outscoring Bloomfield 19-14 in the third quarter and 20-6 in the final frame to earn the 15-point win.
The LCC girls were in action at Wayne High School Tuesday afternoon in the first round of the Great Northeast Nebraska Shootout against Auburn.
