Lady Tigers take varsity win against Chargers in five sets

OSMOND — On Saturday, Sept. 12, the Osmond Lady Tigers varsity volleyball team went head-to-head against the Riverside Chargers in an intense five-et volleyball game in which the Lady Tigers finished with the win.

The Lady Tigers took the first two sets 25-7, 25-15 and lost the third and fourth sets 19-25, 23-25. They then rallied a tough fifth match, defeating the Chargers 16-14. This match tested the Lady Tigers’ drive to finish a game and the desire to keep fighting to finish with the win.

The Lady Tigers finished the evening with team totals of 22 aces and 60 digs. Despite Osmond’s impressive amount of services aces, there were numerous service errors that contributed to the 86% serving percentage.

Individual stats are as follows:

Grace Gansebom: 6 aces, 2 kills, 26 assists, 17 digs, 1 solo block

Kiera Moes: 2 aces, 12 kills 1 assist, 5 digs

Bailey Schmit: 2 aces, 3 kills, 5 digs

Macy Aschoff: 7 aces, 15 kills, 1 assist, 13 digs

Lillie Gansebom: 4 aces, 2 kills, 2 assists, 9 digs

Elisa Herrera: 1 ace, 4 assists, 8 digs

Cali Gutz: 4 kills, 3 digs
