Lady Bears will have plenty of experience on the golf course this year

Laurel — It’s year eight of the Christina Patefield run as the

Lady Bears head golf coach and the team comes into the fall with

plenty of weaponry back.

The team that finished second at the Stanton and LCC Invite last

season, has seniors Jadyn Kinkaid and Brianna Campbell, juniors

Sidney Groene and Hope Swanson and sophomores Sarah Karnes,

Delaney Hall, London VanCleave and Maddy Graham to look to for

big scores and bigger moments.

Throw in freshmen Beka Lipp, Abby Tasler and Faith Urwiler

and Patefield could have a strong fall.

“We have several returners with experience to share with the

freshmen,” Patefield said. “The girls are motivated to do well and

are a very positive team.”

They still have plenty of work to do according to the coach.

“The girls can always work on their chipping and putting to bring

their scores down even more,” Patefield said.

LCC opened the season at West Point Beemer last week and

finished second with a team-score of 410.
