Lady Bears struggle in loss to Wayne

WAYNE — The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Lady Bears hit just 1-of-10 from 3-point range and 27 percent for the game as they dropped a 30-25 home decision to Wayne on Tuesday, Jan. 12.

Both teams struggled offensively as Wayne hit just 21 percent from the field for the game. Wayne’s 13 offensive rebounds gave them several second and third chances that they were able to convert on as they held on for the win.

Leading the way for the Lady Bears was Kinsey Hall with 11 points, followed by Haley Christensen with seven. Jordynn Urwiler had five points and Mallory Eriksen scored two.

Christensen led the team in rebounds with eight and Hall had seven to go with a team-high four steals.

Thursday’s game with Creighton was called off due to the weather. LCC was scheduled to host Hartington-Newcastle on Tuesday and will host Battle Creek on Thursday.
