Lady Bears end the season in SubDistricts
CROFTON — The Lady Bears dominated Hartington-Newcastle in SubDistrict first round action here Monday, but could not overcome host Crofton in their next game.
Top-seeded Crofton defeated LCC 25-14, 25-13, 25-16 to advance to the SubDistrict title game and end the Lady Bears season at 22-11.
The Orange and Black defeated Hartington-Newcastle 25-10, 25-11, 27-25 in the play-in game at the SubDistrict C2-5 Tournament Monday night.
Erin Folkers tallied seven kills for Hartington-Newcastle (9-21). Alivia Morten tallied 19 digs and 18 assists. Folkers pitched in 15 digs and Kennadi Peitz 11.
Crofton, 17-12, took on Wakefield Tuesday night for the right to go to this week’s District title game.
