Fifteen letter winners lead Osmond Tiger track and field teams

OSMOND — The Osmond track and field teams started workouts for the 2021 season on Monday, March 1. The boys’ team roster total is 29 and the girls’ is 13 team members.

Letter winners for the girls are senior Lexi Beacom and juniors Grace Gansebom, Kiera Moes, Macy Aschoff, Riley Wagner and Lillie Gansebom.

On the boys’ side, letter whirlers are seniors Johnson Chishiba, Graysen Schultze, Blake Bahr, Zach Huwaldt and Connor Gutz, and juniors Ryan Schmit, Kaden Polt, Bodie True and Hunter Beacom.

Additional seniors include Tessa Dominguez, Elisa Herrera and Brenden Gillespie. Juniors on the team are Molly Beacom-Timmerman, Mason Gansebom , Patrick Vmson and Bryan Solorzano.

The next two groups have zero experience with high school track and field since the season was canceled last March because of COV1D-19:

Sophomores — Cali Gutz, Karter Johnson, Hudson Schultze, Bradee Gubbels , Darren Kelly, Kayson Maertins , Reese Hanna and Zach Reikofski

Freshmen — Juliana Kumm, Erica Heiman, Anna Kahny, James Doyle, Matthew Alderson, Hunter Buchanan, Ethan Davids, Xander Brown, Owen Severson, Caleb Miller, Spencer Hille and Dominic True.

“We are scheduled to compete at Wayne State College this Friday and it is to be an outdoor meet because of COVID-19 protocols,” noted Coach Joe Ortmeier. “Weather permitting, we will run at Plainview on Tuesday, March 23, in a triangular meet with Plainview and Wausa after school.”
