Cross country team earns trip to state

The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge boys cross country team is making a return trip to state after a lengthy hiatus.

The Bears finished third in district D2 to earn the trip to the state meet. Norfolk Catholic won the meet, while Stanton took second.

The local runners were led by freshman Preston Rose, who earned a 10th-place medal at the meet. Dillon Olson also medaled, finishing the day in 13th place. The Advocate conducted several interviews with coaches and athletes for this article. Computer problems prevented that story from running, however. It is hoped the glitch can be fixed so those interviews can be published next week.
