Cross country squads win L&C titles

BLOOMFIELD — The Wausa-Bloomfield boys and girls cross country squads both won championships in the Lewis and Clark conference meet and the Bloomfield Inv. Friday.

Medalist in the Lewis and Clark meet for the boys were: Addison Smith 3rd, Cade Wakeley 11th, Carsten Barger 13th.

In the girls division, Christina Martinson 1st, Darla Nelson 2nd, Carry Martinson 3rd, Madie Ziegler 4th, Ella McFarland 5th, Emily Woockman 12th.

The jr. high boys won their division with medalist Luke Woockman 3rd, and Jacob Smith in 7th. In the jr. high girls race, Tiernee Freeman was 2nd and Destiny Rich 9th.

The squad and coaches would like to say thank you to everyone that came out and supported them.

The teams head to Ainsworth Thursday October 15th for the district meet and a chance to qualify for the State Cross Country Meet.
