Cardinals get in front early against Allen

RANDOLPH — The Randolph Cardinals jumped out front early Jan. 13 and stayed there to even their season record at 6-6.

The 50-40 win over Allen ended up being the Cards’ only contest of the week because of area blizzards.

Jamison Svehla paced the Randolph offense, knocking down 18 points, while Carter Schnoor chipped in with 13 points and Justin Haselhorst poured in 12 points.

Coach Mark Anderson said the Eagles brought a good game plan into the contest.

“It was another tough game,” Coach Anderson said.

Anderson said the Cards’ work at the line came through.

“Free throw shooting was the difference as we outshot them 13-5 at the line,” he said.

The Cards will host Neligh-Oakdale on Friday.
