Softball and baseball games got under way Monday night, with the girls set to play Kelly’s and the boys to play against Laurel. The boys had started their games, but the girls only had time to warm up when the Severe Thunderstorm Watch that was looming brought lightning and rain, causing the games to be called off. Although the rain ended the games for the night, it brought less than a half inch of moisture to the area. There’s a slight chance of rain for the rest of this week, about a 20% chance through Friday, with 40% chance of showers on Saturday, and temperatures in the mid- to upper 80s.
