Bears blow past Elkhorn Valley for big road win
TILDEN — The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears put their offense into high gear last week enroute to a 55-8 dismantling of the Elkhorn Valley Falcons.
The Bears punched the ball across the goal line four times in the first frame and three more in the second quarter to breeze to a 49-8 halftime lead.
The game was called after the Bears scored in the third frame, making the final 55-8.
Coach Alan Gottula got to make sure plenty of athletes saw action in this one as seven different Bears carried the ball and six different players made receptions. Back-up quarterback Gibson Roberts also saw plenty of time behind center.
