WAUSA STUDENTS RECEIVE DONOR OF DISTINCTION RECOGNITION

WAUSA — LifeServe Blood Center is proud to announce that Skyles Kinkaid, Cassie Bates, and Ainsley Nelson are being recognized with the Donor of Distinction certificate. These seniors will be wearing a red honor cord at their graduation ceremony scheduled for Sunday, July 26.

In order to become a Donor of Distinction, these students registered to donate blood at least three times before graduation. A student needs to be at least 16 years old before they can donate. Achieving this milestone required students to donate blood at high school blood drives, at blood drives that take place within the community or at donor centers.

Wausa FBLA has been hosting blood drives twice a year for the past few years, which definitely helps students have an easier access to donate.

Kinkaid, Bates and Nelson will be honored for their commitment to saving lives, providing volunteer community service and investing in the future of those who are in need of blood transfusions to save their lives.
