Wausa students compete in Conference art show

WAUSA — On March 3rd, 2020 Karen Eddie took 42 art pieces to the Lewis and Clark Conference Art Show, 25 of those pieces being from the high school. 16 High school students attended the art show and were awarded 17 awards: 4 best of category medals (Jaidyn Petersen, Kamryn Pekarek, Kaitlyn Walton, and Melanie Vanness), 5 first place ribbons (Ainsley Nelson, Jaidyn Peterson, Kamryn Pekarek, Stephany Anderson, and Chance Gullicksen), 5 second place ribbons (Jonah Story, Cole Story, Kamryn Pekarek, and Jaidyn Petersen), and 3 third place ribbons (Clara Schindler, Jaidyn Petersen, and Brooke Kumm). 

Elementary and Junior high students had 17 entries to the art show and were awarded awards: 1 best of show medal and ribbon (Addison Wynia), 3 first place ribbons (Addison Wynia, Mackenzie Vanness, Colton Baue), 3 second place ribbons ( Caitlin Eckert, Ethan Walton, and Jayden Gillilan), and 3 third place ribbons (Kendall Story, Emilie Claussen, and Chloe Grashorn).

Elementary winners were: Rogan Hoesing received a Best of Category and a first place ribbon, Mackenzie Suhr received  first place, Noel Kumm received first place, Matt Schindler and Kayton Anderson received second place ribbons, and Noel Kumm, second grade, received a third place ribbon.
