Wausa Homecoming festivities set

WAUSA — Wausa Public Schools homecoming week is scheduled for Sept. 28 through Oct. 2. Following is a breakdown of the dress up themes and events each day.

MONDAY: Dress-Up Theme = Class Color Day

• Grades K-12 dismissed at 2 p.m. for parade.

• Parade begins at 2:15 p.m. from the bus barn, students will walk west down main street, ending at the FB field.

• Approximately 2:45 p.m., Pep rally will begin at the football field. Public is invited and asked to wear masks. Social Distancing measures will be taken. School dismissed at the conclusion of the pep rally.

• JVFB at Niobrara/Verdigre 6 p.m.

• HSVB vs. Plainview at 5:30 p.m.

• XC Parents night during VB game.

TUESDAY: Dress-up Theme = Beach Day

• HSVB Triangular at Hartington/Newcastle 5:30 p.m.

WEDNESDAY: Dress-Up Theme = Western Day

• FBLA Fall Leadership Conference

THURSDAY: Dress-Up Theme = America Day

• Picture Retake Day

• XC at West Holt 3 p.m.

• HSVB vs. Niobrara/Verdigre 4:30 p.m.

FRIDAY: Dress-Up Theme = Purple and Gold
