Wausa FBLA Officers attend virtual Fall Leadership Conference

WAUSA — The Wausa Chapter FBLA Officers attended the 2020 Virtual Leadership Conference Tuesday, September 29. The Officers who attended the conference, which was originally supposed to take place in Omaha, were Tyler Baue, Leah Bloomquist, Emily Kleinschmit, Ali Lundberg, Trey McQuay, Abrielle Nelson, Darla Nelson, and Kilee Thorell. Mrs. Dawn Friedrich attended as their adviser.

Keynote speaker, Aaron Davis, started off the Conference with talking about how to Amplify Your Leadership. Within the Virtual Leadership Conference, workshops pursued. Some of the workshops included the Officers’ duties and responsibilities.

Leah Bloomquist, Wausa FBLA Secretary, found Davis’s message to be engaging and motivating.

“He used a lot of topics that were relatable and funny to people our age,” Bloomquist said. “He was really motivating.”

Those in attendance participated in many breakout sessions to network with other FBLA leaders from around the state.

“The conference was a great opportunity to learn from others,” Bloomquist said.

Overall, the entire conference provided the Wausa FBLA Chapter leadership great information on how to lead our chapter, and it created excitement for the school year to come.
